Ministry Tools
You might ask yourselves what types of materials do you guys use with college students? There are tons of answers to that question. This page is focused on letting you know some of the main tools that we use and how you might get your hands on them if you wanted to use them at your church or on a campus near you.
Evangelism
Knowing God Personally- A booklet revision of the original 4 spiritual laws written by Bill Bright. This is a very simple 4 point outline that explains how a person can begin a relationship with Jesus Christ. The most simple way to present this booklet is to just read through it with a person.
Soularium - This is a pictorial survey and a great way to get into a spiritual conversation with anyone. To use it you simply spread out the pictures so the person can see them all and ask some of the questions included with the packet. The person answers by picking the picture that best represents their answer. For expample “Pick 2 pictures that best represent your view of God and tell my why you picked them”
Quest Survey- A quick survey that engages a person in a spiritual conversation. The quest survey is actually a national survey that CCC has been doing over the years to gather spiritual interest information.
The 250- A book filled with 250 evangelism strategies that have been tested and implemented on different campues around the country.
Questioning Evangelism - A book written by my friend and fellow staff member on how to do evangelism by asking questions. Randy Newman is a great speaker, and author. Definitely would consider this “required reading” for someone who wants to get better at doing evangelism.
Discipleship
The Compass- This is the one to one discipleship curriculum that we use on campus and around the country. It is based on college semesters but could definitely be used differently. This is intended for the teacher to have tracks to run on and to decide what would be best for the student.
Satisfied - This is a long time CCC resource for helping someone understand what it means to live the spirit-filled life. It is a great first step for teaching someone how to walk with Jesus on a daily basis.
Postcards from Corinth- This is a book written as a practical guide for a person investing in mentoring others in the faith. It is loaded with great practical ideas to give you tracks to run on with discipleship. If the Compass is content for discipleship, this book is more of a how to guide.
Bible Studies
Cru.comm- Bible Studies developed for all different levels of christian maturity. The audience for these studies is College Students but they could be easily adaptable. The studies are written with the gospel centered approach to christian growth and walk.
The Life Concepts Series- These studies are intended for someone who is brand new to the faith. It is a five part series that is easily done in a one on one setting. We use this series as first steps for all of the new believers that we work with.
The Ultimate Road Trip- This is a guide for how to lead a bible study. Filled with what a good small group should look like, this resource for leaders is loaded with ideas and hints for a fantastic small group experience.
